Fischer LOVED Halloween because he enjoyed dressing up but really it was because of his love for candy.  His favorite candies were Sour Patch Kids, Skittles,  and Starburst though he did enjoy chocolate as well.  We always sorted the candy as you can see because chocolate needs to be separate from non-chocolate.  Starting around preschool, he liked to come up with his own costume idea and then we helped put it together.
